French Vanilla Cappuccino Homemade Recipe

Are you so in love with cappuccinos particularly with french vanilla cappuccino? Do you buy this stuff from your favorite coffee shop every day? If you are, then you should be spending at least a hundred dollars per month for your coffee expense and this could be extremely expensive on your part! If you want to save on your coffee purchases but you just can’t live a day without your favorite french vanilla cappuccino, it will be advisable to purchase a cappuccino maker so you can create your favorite coffee mix for half the price.

French vanilla cappuccino is a combination of steamed milk, flavorful froth and light tasting espresso. But mind you, making the perfect blend of this kind of coffee mix can be a bit tricky though coffee shop baristas make it appear to be very easy. The trickiest part is creating the perfect froth, but once you discovered the tricks, you can easily make one for yourself.

Sure you can always buy an instant french vanilla cappuccino mix in stores but they will not taste as flavorful as the freshly prepared ones. If you want an authentic homemade recipe, here is a simple 12 – ounce french vanilla cappuccino recipe that coffee lovers like you can easily follow:

First step is to steam 10 ounces of milk with a teaspoon of French vanilla flavoring. You can use non fat or whole milk or any other milk of your choice. Standard cappuccinos will require2% of milk but you can always make it creamier and thicker. Skim milk is not always a good choice for those who want thick froths. If you personally want a thick froth, whole milk is advised.

Second step is to pour in about 10 ounces of steamed milk and French vanilla flavoring in a steel pitcher with a temperature indicator. Place the tip of the steaming or froth wand just at the surface of the milk. A light hissing sound will be the indicator that you are doing it the right way. The finish product should look like a shaving cream and not just a thin layer of bubbles on top of a glass of beer.

Third step. Brew the coffee or espresso. You can use any coffee maker and any instant coffee powder but freshly grounded coffee beans will always be the better alternative. After the brewing is done, pour in the coffee on a cup.

Fourth and final step. Pour in the creamy vanilla froth on top of your espresso. Grate some almond and nutmeg, sprinkle your desired amount on top of the froth and whoalah, your homemade french vanilla cappuccino is now ready to drink!
